Autor: Guillaume Dumont
The aim of this paper is re-thinking the construction of space through an alternative
sport, climbing, acted as a way of life by those who practise it. From the point of
view of the Anthropology of space to the emergent pragmatic conception of a multi-
site field research, different traditions have been mobilized to examine the
importance of the sites of practice in regards to modern lifestyle leisure's. The
construction, appropriation, uses and degradations of the space, as elements of a
complex process which have been relatively denigrated and left out in the
theoretical production linked to these "news sport activities" such as surfing,
snowboarding, skateboarding and, in this case, sport climbing. In fact, most of the
studies dedicated to theses phenomena's focused on the counter-cultural aspects
without giving importance to the social and spatial dynamics, which go beyond a
youth's simple and modern tendency and are actually of a much more complex
nature. Furthermore, examining theses practices through the frame of the concept
of space allows a reflexion on certain methodological tools of the ethnographic
practice and it's conditions, due to the specificity of this kind of field.

"Venderse": de lo sagrado a lo profano a través del mercado y la fusión
Autora: Irene Gallego Blanco
This article aims to analyze the phenomenons which revolve around the music
called World Music. This study is based on the field work carried out with two music
groups in Barcelona, Cumbiambuco and Rumbamazigha. Specifically, it examines
how different discourses about authenticity are constructed within the same type of
music and how these guide the musical practices of these groups, favouring or
prejudicing the intercultural relationships.

DESOBEDIENCIA EPISTÉMICA: contra-hegemonías de una religión antropofágica. Una mirada etnográfica.

This study focuses on the construction of the 'self' into the 'afro-Brazilian' religions
in Portugal from the role of symbolic inversion of the subaltern groups in society
and/or in contexts of individual suffering in general, whose performance is
developed through cultural expressions of the (re)construction of the world through
the difficulties of everyday life. These religions have different formations observable
in their rituals in Brazil, including in terms of identity end political assertion of social
groups that recognized themselves in 'afro-referenced cultures'. These cults
represent, for example, characters of the Brazilian colonial history through its
'spiritual entities'. However, I intend to focus on the manifestations of this process
that seems to be the 'new establishment' of the transnationalization of these
practices in Portugal, that into the 'new local' tend to reveal new elements. Among
them a kind of symbolism for a 'political effectiveness' manifest thought the
significance of the formation of 'pais-de-santo' (spiritual leaders) in search of
expanding their ritual places of cult. Their purpose in the 'new local' of cult is to
"change the mentality" and the social policy in "industrialized countries" viewing the
construction of a new paradigm - especially social and political - in the relationship
between countries of the North over countries of the South.

El territorio como sistema social autopoiético. Pensando en alternativas teóricas al "espacio administrativo" y a la "comunidad local".

The territory as an autopoietic social system. Searching for theoretical alternatives
to the "local community" and the "administrative space".
This article summarizes two approaches in social science research on the concept of
territory: one that defines the territories as an equivalent to the community and
one that understands the territory as a geographical and administrative space. We
discuss the analytical limitations of both approaches and develop a reflection on the
causes of emergence and consolidation of the territory as a hegemonic socio-spatial
concept. The paper argues that applying the theory of social systems announced by
Luhmann, we obtain a more comprehensive view on the territory beyond the search
for their physical or cultural limits.
