Editorial - june 2011  Number 14

The "Entrevistes Project" concludes in this issue of Periferia its first series of dialogues with prominent personalities from our Academy. And it does so with a grand finale: an interview with Claudi Esteva Fabregat, which allows us to know the academic career of Anthropology in Mexico, Madrid and Barcelona. It was in these three scenarios where Esteva Fabregat has launched a training and research tradition that has marked several generations of anthropologists.

We thank the "Entrevistes Project" team her exemplary work, which has provided significant value to Periferia in the last number. We look forward to the next round of interviews.

The four items that complement the content of this number, and their widely divergent foci of study share the rethinking of theoretical concepts to analyze and present the ethnographic experience. Guillaume Dumont ponders the anthropological theory of space and landscape, through a multi-field work placed on the sport of climbing, Irene Gallego gives a reading of the different discourses about authenticity, from his study of the World Music in Barcelona, Flávio Ferreira discusses the dimensions of the Afro-Brazilian religions, and specifically about umbanda, in the process of transnationalization in Portugal, and proposes a reconceptualization Richard Pfeilstetter territory to overcome the boundaries based on cultural or geographic- administrative building on Luhmann and Bourdieu.

We conclude by highlighting the initiatives included in our Announcements section. On the one hand, the expected Congress of Anthropology, organized by the Federation of Anthropology of the Spanish State (FAAE) to be held next September. In addition, two invitations interest realize the new scope of action in which we operate today as anthropologists / as: ART / E / FACT to promote connections between art professionals and anthropology, and Wopelanda a collaborative blog where people of Burkina Faso realize their own culture.
